Thread Designing and Manufacturing

Scientific and standard thread tooth design is the basis of top-hammer rock drilling tools’ high quality thread connection, strictly control precision thread process is the only way to guarantee the excellent performance of thread connection. Inaccurate thread connection with large or small gap will lead to high frequency vibration and shaking during drilling, caused thread high temperature and broken.

Thread Strengthen

In order to obtain better service life and performance, Jinquan does a significant treatment for thread part, enhance thread strength and improve abrasive resistance. The most important thing is the proportion of broken rod dropped significantly.

Heat Treatment: Fully Carburization, Air Cool Quenching, Tempering

Heat treatment is a group of industrial and metalworking processes used to alter the physical, and sometimes chemical, properties of a material. It involves the use of heating or chilling, normally to extreme temperatures, to achieve a desired result such as hardening or softening of a material. Heat treatment includes annealing, face hardening, precipitation strengthening, tempering, normalizing and quenching.

Heat treatment with Fully Carburization, Air Cool Quenching, Tempering keeps products high toughness, air cool quenching significantly improve its surface hardness and whole strength index. It improves the whole working life and durability of rock drilling tools such as shank adaptors, extension drill steels, MF rods, hex drifting drill rods etc.
